Check ceremony availability
I aim to provide prompt, considerate communication, clear responsibilities, timely ceremony preparation and sensitive family liaison. I work alongside funeral directors rather than replacing their role.
Professional documentation and governance summaries can be made available where appropriate, with sensitive internal records kept confidential.
Make a professional enquiry
A straightforward, collaborative approach for funeral directors across Lancashire. I work alongside your team to help families receive a personal, carefully prepared farewell, with clear communication throughout.
Contact me with the proposed ceremony date, time, venue and the family’s preferred approach. I will check my availability before any booking is confirmed. For short-notice arrangements, please get in touch to discuss what may be possible.
Once a referral is agreed and the family is happy for their details to be shared, I arrange an initial conversation, listen to their wishes and explain the next steps. I keep the funeral director informed of relevant arrangements while respecting family confidentiality.
I gather memories and preferences, prepare a personalised ceremony script and check important names, readings, music and contributions with the family. I liaise with the funeral director about the running order and any practical requirements.
I aim to arrive prepared, communicate clearly with the funeral team and venue, and deliver the agreed ceremony calmly and respectfully. Any changes or practical concerns are discussed promptly with the relevant people.
Information about training, safeguarding, data protection, risk assessments and insurance is available on request, with appropriate consideration for confidential material. Read my professional standards.

A practical aid for funeral arrangers
A few essential details help me check availability and begin planning without asking families to repeat sensitive information unnecessarily. Please obtain the family's permission before passing on their contact details.
I confirm availability before a booking is agreed, speak with the family, prepare the ceremony, arrange script review and coordinate practical details with the funeral director and venue.
